I'm not a big DIY'er, my Pinterest boards may suggest otherwise or at least make it look like I have all intentions of creating amazing decor, food dishes, and amazing outfits, but I'm afraid I just suck at certain artistic things. Just ask my husband, every Christmas he never lets me live down the craft I made with our daughters foot prints turned in to sweet little Reindeer exclaiming "Merry Chistmas" to all who have the pleasure of seeing it. Ugh.... that's right CHISTMAS, totally missed the "R", but hey we still hang it and it gives us all a good laugh about the time mom decided to be crafty... My sister is the real crafter in my family. You give her an idea and she can create something so much better than you had originally thought of. Her home looks as if everything she pinned on Pinterest she directly reached in and pulled it out and so perfectly placed it in her home exactly where it was meant to be.
Now what I do enjoy is finding a great recipe, repeatedly using it and sharing with everyone I know because who doesn't love delicious treats?! I often scour Pinterest looking for easy dishes to prepare for my family of six, or that perfect chocolate chip cookie recipe (which I've found and 1'll share with you next week!). These perfectly soft, and chewy granola bars do not last long around here. My husband could put away three of them in the time it takes for him to walk through the door remove his coat, and shoes, and sit down for dinner.
I've been using this recipe for a few years from the Detoxinista and it is tried and true, also a great base recipe if you like a lot of mix ins. We just do the basic Oats, Raw Honey, Peanut Butter, and a little Pink Himalayan Sea Salt. I hope you try this recipe and enjoy it as much as we do! I'll just be over here sneak eating a couple granola bars while two of my littles sleep. Enjoy!
